Twilio Lookup alternative

Twilio Lookup alternative: check a whole phone list without code

Twilio Lookup is a developer API: you call it once per number from your own code. If what you actually need is to know which numbers on a list are valid, mobile, landline or VoIP before you call or text them, TrueSearch for Business does that from a file upload, an API, or a chat with Claude.

Questions

What is Twilio Lookup?

Twilio Lookup is an API from Twilio that returns information about a phone number, such as its formatting, whether it is valid, and, through paid data packages, line type and carrier. It is priced per request and called from code.

Is TrueSearch cheaper than Twilio Lookup?

We do not claim that. Twilio Lookup is priced per request; TrueSearch is a monthly plan ($97/month for 5,000 numbers) with a 7-day free trial. Compare Twilio's current pricing page against your own monthly volume.

Do I need a developer to use TrueSearch?

No. You can upload a CSV or Excel file and download the checked list. There is also a REST API if you want to wire it into a CRM, dialer or form, and a connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

What does TrueSearch return for each number?

Whether the number is valid or dead, its line type (mobile, landline, VoIP or toll-free) and the carrier, from carrier data. It does not return the owner's name.

Does TrueSearch check Do Not Call or litigators?

No, not yet. TrueSearch checks validity, line type and carrier only. For Do Not Call status, use the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.
