Phone list health calculator
Estimate how much of your list is actually reachable and what the rest costs you. Every rate is editable; nothing is stored.
How to get real numbers
- Take a random sample of 500 to 1,000 numbers from the list.
- Validate it against live carrier data (TrueSearch for Business does this in about 30 seconds per 1,000).
- Enter the dead, landline and VoIP percentages you get back above.
- Re-validate the same sample in a month to measure your real monthly decay.
Then read the phone list cleaning guide and why dialers hit dead numbers.
Questions
Where do the default numbers come from?
They are editable placeholders, not industry statistics. Decay varies widely by source, age and industry. The reliable way to get your own rates is to validate a sample of your list and plug in what you find.
How is the health score calculated?
It is the share of the list estimated to be a live mobile number after applying your dead, landline and VoIP percentages and your assumed monthly decay over the list's age.
Why do landlines count against SMS but not calls?
Landlines cannot receive text messages, so every text sent to one is wasted. For calling, landlines can still be valid contacts, so only dead numbers count as wasted dials.
This guide is general information, not legal advice. TrueSearch for Business checks validity, line type and carrier from licensed telecom data. It does not check the National Do Not Call Registry, state DNC lists or the FCC Reassigned Numbers Database. Not a consumer reporting agency; not for FCRA purposes.
