Phone validation for Close

Short answer

Close is a sales CRM with built-in calling, SMS and email. TrueSearch does not have a native Close app. You can check the phone numbers you work with in Close, using an automation tool such as Zapier, Make or n8n or CSV export and import. Every number comes back marked valid or dead, mobile, landline or VoIP, with carrier.

Option 1: connect through an automation tool

Use Close as the trigger in an automation tool (for example, a new contact or lead), add an HTTP step that sends the phone number to the TrueSearch API, then write the result back to Close or route the record based on keep.

Option 2: CSV export and import (no code)

  1. Export the contacts, leads or list you want to check from Close as a CSV file (if your account role allows exporting).
  2. Upload the file to TrueSearch. CSV and Excel both work, and the phone column is found automatically.
  3. Download the clean file. Every row gets valid, line_type and carrier columns, so you can filter out dead, landline or VoIP numbers.
  4. Import the clean file back into Close, or use it to update or tag the records you checked, the same way you normally import a list.

Results come back in about 30 seconds per 1,000 numbers.
