Duplicate lead remover

Paste a lead list. Rows with the same phone number or email are matched even when they are written differently, the first copy is kept, and you download a clean CSV. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Tip: open your CSV or spreadsheet, select all, copy and paste here. Comma or tab separated both work.

Duplicate when:

Why lead lists fill up with duplicates

The same person fills in a Facebook form, then a website form, then turns up on a purchased list. Each source writes the phone number its own way and capitalizes the email differently, so a plain spreadsheet "remove duplicates" misses most of them.

Duplicates mean the same lead gets called or texted twice by two reps, and you pay for the same number twice in any per-record tool. Matching on a normalized phone and email catches them.

What deduping can't tell you

A list with no repeats can still be full of dead numbers, landlines and VoIP lines. Those only show up with a live carrier lookup.

Questions

How does it decide two leads are duplicates?

Phone numbers are converted to E.164 first, so (415) 555-2671 and +1 415.555.2671 count as the same number. Emails are trimmed and lowercased, so DANA@example.com and dana@example.com match. You choose whether a matching phone, a matching email, or either one marks a row as a duplicate.

Which copy is kept?

The first one in the list. Every later row that matches it is removed, and the table shows each removed row and the reason. Put your most complete or most recent source at the top if you want that version kept.

Is my list uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs in your browser. The rows you paste are not sent to TrueSearch or anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

Does it match by name?

No. Names are too loose to match on safely: two different people can share a name, and one person can appear as Sam Lee and Samuel Lee. Phone and email are the reliable keys.

Does a unique lead mean the number works?

No. Deduping only removes repeats. A unique number can still be disconnected, a landline that cannot receive texts, or a VoIP line. Finding that out needs a live carrier lookup, which is what TrueSearch for Business does.

This guide is general information, not legal advice. TrueSearch for Business checks validity, line type and carrier from licensed telecom data. It does not check the National Do Not Call Registry, state DNC lists or the FCC Reassigned Numbers Database. Not a consumer reporting agency; not for FCRA purposes.
